Those Sounds!

On this page, we will be presenting some fine rarities from the vaults in mp3 format!  Most of these are live and are sourced from videotapes and cassettes, so we apologize in advance for the less than perfect quality.

Girlfriend In A Coma - Those Guys! performed this Smiths cover at their spring concert of 1998.  I recorded this a few months later on a 4-track machine during one of our rehearsals, since I knew it wouldn't be on our album.  I came home and added a little reverb to it.  I think it came out quite nice.

O, Do Not Forsake Me - I thought this They Might Be Giants song would be an absolutely perfect vehicle for our bass Christopher Thaxter to sing, as he sounded uncannily like Wilber Pauley, the singer of Hudson Shad (the vocal group that recorded this song).  This recording is from our spring 1999 concert, both Christopher's and my last performance with the group.  This performance sends shivers up my spine.  (I miss the chapel.)

Change In My Life - This Rockapella cover and "Easy" were probably my two favorite songs to perform with the group.  Ryan Duckworth arranged this and sings lead.  This is also from our spring 1999 concert.

Santeria - Perhaps the single greatest arrangement Devin ever did for our group...a Sublime song with a twist.  I'm still kicking myself that it never got any kind of proper recording.  Another one from our spring 1999 concert.

H-E-L-L-@^!(!%@*&@&^@- The infamous and hilarious concert gaffe in all its glory.  See the FAQ for details.

Who's Those Guys? - Jamie Bradley wrote this hilarious satire of "Who's On First?" and performed it with Eric Stoddard at Jamie's senior comedy recital in the spring of 1999.
